Small and medium enterprise owners will now access up to Sh50 million in flexible financing following the launch of a new business credit card designed to ease access to working capital and support business growth.
The NMB Bank SME’s World Business Credit Card was unveiled in Arusha on June 26, 2026, in partnership with Mastercard, bringing together business leaders, financial experts, and bank clients.
Speaking at the launch, NMB Chief of Retail Banking, Filbert Mponzi, said the facility is designed to remove traditional barriers that SMEs face when seeking credit, including lengthy application processes and collateral requirements.
He said entrepreneurs using the card can access up to Sh50 million to support their business activities and manage cash flow more effectively.
Mponzi added that the card offers an interest-free period of up to 53 days, after which normal interest charges will apply, encouraging disciplined repayment behavior.
“If repaid within 53 days, no interest will be charged,” he said.
He further noted that the product also includes travel insurance for business users traveling abroad, covering medical expenses of up to $100,000 in the event of an emergency while overseas.
